“1/4 of all Women Would Rather Win ‘Next Top Model’ then Nobel Peace Prize.”

As Mark Twain said, there are three kinds of lies: there are lies, there are d#$% lies, and there are statistics. This stat also means that about 75% of women would rather win the peace prize than America’s Next Top Model. And when you consider that most of the men surveyed would rather date the model than the Nobel laureate, I don’t think that 25% of women is that unusual a number.

i think it is very inappropriate to put that 50% of black women are more likely to be bulimic. Did you ever think that the only reason it shows that black women have more eating disorders is not because of their background or having less money but it could just be that more black women are able to stand up and admit they have a problem?
White women who are from a upper class family do have eating disorders just like any race. and to say that it is shown that white women with more money are less likely to have an eating disorder is horrible to say. Maybe they are just ashamed of it and will not admit it because of statistics like this. I think its horrible for people to generalize by a race about any issue. I also find that people are very quick to judge. And just because i am not a christian or religious at all does not mean that i would generalize and say that it is all christians that are quick to judge, because that would not be a fair generalization but i feel that this post is very judgemental and that things should not be put up about race on this page. I am trying to speak for everyone that is of different races. And even tho i am the “white girl” i do not believe that this is right to put up. Thank you.

Hey there, I think both things you mentioned are likely factors- socioeconomic standing as well as a great transparency. I think it’s beyond sad that anyone is bulimic regardless of race. I appreciate your perspective, but please know that I’m just reporting things I find- if you get mad at your local news broadcast, you simply change the station…but it doesn’t change the news. I hope you’ll come to see that I have zero judgement for bulimics or people of another race…I just wanted to let people know what’s really going on. If we can’t do that as Christ-followers, where can we?!

    LOL…so true John!
