Log Bridges and Diarrhea, Oh My!
We had a great long weekend here.
(I wish ours was this pretty!)
Friday afternoon I went Frisbee golfing with Richard. We made it to the 17th hole, and then took 45 minutes to haul logs in an attempt to make a bridge across a pond! We were covered in mud. Boys will be boys!

Friday evening we went on a double date with James and Karen. They get married in less than one month! We saw Duplicity in theatres…it was good, but 90% of the people who watch it won’t get it. I can’t imagine it will do to well! We ate at East Side Mario’s that night. Michelle ate so much that she ran laps in our (hobbit-sized) apartment when we got home.
Michelle and I have started to make a list of things that we want in our next home. It might not seem like a lot, but we’re going to feel like millionaires for less than a thousand bucks! Here’s the list: no flies, no mice, a dishwasher, a full-size fridge, and on-site laundry. It’s amazing how the little things can irk you so much! We’re grateful for all we have, but can’t wait to live like kings!

Saturday I hung out with Mike and Dan. We had Montanas. And then 7 cases of diarrhea in the next 15 minutes. It was horrible. I called them to let them know, and the shift manager goes “well, food poisoning takes 24 hours, so I guess you could talk to our manager, but there’s nothing I can do, because it takes 24 hours.“ I WAS NOT HAPPY.
Here was a chance for Montanas to win me over forever, and they blew it. I found out from Facebook that you can get sick within 15 minutes. Guess the manager never went to school. Anyway- if any of you ever own a business…treat your customers the same way you’d like to be treated!
Family time on Sunday. Went to Lincoln for Sunday service. I’m going to put up an audio link this week of a testimony that was given there. People were crying all over the place. It’s a straight-up miracle, proof-of-God type of story.
Fell asleep watching the Masters with dad. Tiger is amazing, but not as amazing as napping!
Went to the in-laws afterwards. Drank Slurpees and watched Sword in the Stone. I LOVE that movie!
Pray for me, I’ve got a big week ahead- income taxes and charity stuff! I also have some very heavy posts for Just Married…my mind has been spinning two questions all weekend- Who will get divorced first? Who will be widowed first? Gonna try to unpack that as best I can. Also, I’m going to compile so blogging tips for ya’ll, to post over the weekend. So pray lots!
How was your long weekend? Anything I can pray about for you?

For duplicity, if the whole movie was like the last 45 min, I would have loved it. But it wasn’t. Not worth spending full price on…but half price…maybe!!
Will be praying for you for sure bro. Keep it up. I’ll be spreading the word.
Peace
