LOL about the condom packages. The “bring your gun to church” day does bother me a bit. Jesus’ teaching to turn the other cheek isn’t exactly promoted by the NRA. I guess some of it boils down to this question: As a Christian, do I have a right to defend myself by violent means?

Lol…I like guns. I think handguns should be illegal, but have no problem with hunting for meat and wall trophies!

Oh, I have absolutely no problem with hunting. That’s great. I just have a feeling that long guns (shotguns and hunting rifles) won’t make up a huge proportion of the weapons brought to that church that day. And what message does it send to people in church? “Defending yourself violently is ok if necessary, and you should prepare to do so”? I think it merits discussion, but is definitely a complex question.
